  1. On 9 December 2017 at Teesside Crown Court, jailed security director Christopher Catchpole, was ordered to pay back proceeds of crime amounting to £63,628.
  2. On Tuesday 9 January 2018 at Workington Magistrates’ Court, we successfully defended an appeal against the suspension of a licence from a security guard charged with indecent exposure.
  3. Billy Jones, director of BJ Securities Ltd of South Wales, has been sentenced for continuing to work as a security director despite having lost his SIA licence.
  4. Some recent injuries to members of the public have been attributed to the use of so-called “vascular restraints”. These are also known as “chokeholds”, and are extremely dangerous.
  5. On Tuesday 28 November, security operatives from around Glasgow attended Counter Terrorism Project Griffin Training at Cathouse, a music venue in Glasgow.
